Heading to my universe...David Langarica © 2026

A more expressive way to explore an essential supply business.
A custom Shopify storefront for PLUPack Embalajes, pairing a material-led animated homepage with a practical path into its business supply catalog.
PLUPack supplies packaging, disposables, and other essentials to businesses across Argentina. The site needed to show the breadth of that offer while making it easier to explore products and understand why companies work with one supplier. The client was drawn to a visual direction built around materials and texture, and wanted motion and 3D to give the brand more presence.
I designed and developed a custom Shopify experience that connects that expressive homepage to a familiar catalog. The core challenge was making those two sides feel like one site.

The live homepage pairs material-inspired motion with a clear route into PLUPack’s products.
The part I’m proudest of sits under the surface. I mounted React components inside the Shopify Liquid theme so I could build and tune the animated and 3D sections with a smoother development workflow, while Shopify continued to handle the store. That gave me room to shape the transitions and interactions without turning the whole storefront into a separate application.
The homepage moves from the brand’s broad promise into concrete reasons to work with PLUPack, national coverage, products, and industry-specific solutions. I kept the product path visible alongside the visual storytelling, including direct links into the catalog and featured items.
The finished industries sequence in motion, recorded from the live storefront.

The mobile homepage keeps the featured product and primary routes visible in a narrower layout.
Animation and 3D brought the character the client wanted, but they also made performance a real implementation challenge. I had to keep revisiting how much the page asks the browser to render and when, especially around the rich homepage sections. I’m pleased with how the finished experience feels given that constraint, though I wouldn’t turn that into a speed claim without comparable measurements.
Clarity mattered just as much. Later content decisions simplified the hero, pointed visitors toward the existing industry section, and avoided suggesting catalog filters that were not there. The visual work could then support the actual shopping journey rather than promise a different one.

The catalog carries visitors from the animated homepage into PLUPack’s product categories.
PLUPack now has a live Shopify storefront where brand storytelling, animated sections, and product browsing share the same experience. For me, the most satisfying part is the integration: React gave me the creative control and day-to-day development flow I wanted inside Liquid, while the site still behaves like a store people can use. The performance work remains part of that craft, not a number I can claim without a measured baseline.
